Forward an email to Sidefolk

Got a booking, a school newsletter or an appointment in your email? Forward it to your private Sidefolk address. It shows up in your Inbox as a draft to check, and nothing reaches your calendar until you confirm it.

  1. 1

    Find your address

In the app, open You and tap Your Sidefolk email. On the web, it is on the Capture page. It is yours alone, so keep it private.

  2. 2

    Save it as a contact

Copy the address and save it in your phone’s contacts as “Sidefolk”. Then forwarding is two taps: Forward, then pick Sidefolk.

  3. 3

Forward from an address Sidefolk knows

Sidefolk reads only mail sent from your sign-in address, an account you have connected, or an address you have added to Accepted senders. Mail from anyone else is ignored, so a stranger who learns your address can’t fill your Inbox.

Forward from your work address, or a partner’s? Add it first: in the app, tap Your Sidefolk email, then Accepted senders; on the web, it is under your address on the Capture page. You can add up to 10.

  4. 4

    Check the draft

Sidefolk reads the text of the email and drafts an event or a task. Open your Inbox, fix anything it got wrong, and confirm. Each email makes one draft, and you can forward up to 30 a day.

Automatic forwarding rules don’t work yet

A Gmail or Outlook rule that forwards mail for you keeps the original sender, such as the school, so Sidefolk can’t tell it is yours and ignores it. For now, forward each email yourself. If you want rules, tell us at support@sidefolk.app.

Only the text of the email is read. Photos, PDFs and voice notes go in through the app, the share button or WhatsApp. How we handle your data is in our Privacy Policy.
